Angus

Angus
(Oenghus)
In Celtic myth son of Dagda and Boann. He was the Mac ind Og or the Young God, the Celtic Eros who carried off Etain, the wife of Midhir. In the story of Diarmaid and Gráinne he repeatedly saves them from the vengeance of Fionn. When the Tuatha Dé Danaan were defeated by the Milesians and were allotting sidh or hill forts, to those of their members who remained in Ireland, Angus was forgotten. He eventually managed to displace his father Dagda from his palace at Brugh on the Boyne.
